Venue and Area Guide

There's a wealth of things to do both at our venue as well as just away from it. Here's our guide to just some of the things to check out.

At the Venue

Main Show Floor

Welcome to The Grand Pier’s Regency Suite, the place where the chaos of the day will unfold, and where all our events will take place!

Participate in the tournaments, hang out with other Sonic fans and meet our guests! The Regency suite is where all the excitement of the day will be!

The floor will be divided up into two main areas: The main show floor, where all the main events will be taking place, and a smaller, designated 'quiet' zone to relax.

Our guests can access the Regency suite via the private lift or stairs. (Signposted on the day)

The Grand Pier Arcade

‘What a wild ride…’

All of our attendees will have free access to the Grand Pier’s centrepiece attraction: The arcade. This multi-levelled arcade is packed with different games and attractions to cater for all ages, including Dance Dance Revolution, UFO Catchers/Crane games, various shooting and racing games, and even classic penny pushers and pinball.

For our guests who are perhaps feeling a little more courageous, why not try some of the pier’s thrill rides? Get competitive with friends in a race to the finish on the Go-Kart circuit, prove yourself the fastest thing alive on the F1 simulator, or even test your mettle on the Sidewinder or Robo-Coaster…

Rides open from 11AM.

All games and rides charged for separately and are subject to availability.

See The Grand Pier’s website for further details

Beyond the Pier

Just because our venue is on the pier doesn’t mean you’re confined there! Read on to discover more about what can be found for attendees beyond the venue itself.

Weston's iconic Grand Pier will be the hub for all things Weston Super Sonic on the day, and aside from having a generous sized room for all our specific events, is also packed to the corners with other attractions to try.

Arcades

The Grand Pier already has an impressive arcade, but that doesn’t mean it’s the only one available! If you’re looking for something different from the Grand Pier’s own offerings, then there are numerous arcades just over the road from the Pier’s entrance that are all free to enter, and offer even more games to try. Ones of particular note include Golden Gate Amusements, and The Olympia Arcade. both of which are next door to each other, and literally minutes from the Pier's entrance.

Food and Drink

Weston’s town centre is an ideal place to check out if you want to find food beyond the pier’s own offerings, with a variety of different high street food options including Subway, McDonalds, Greggs amongst others. All of these can be found from Weston’s High Street or in the Sovereign Centre.

WESTON SUPER SONIC RECOMMENDS:

If you’re looking for something a little more special for your sweet tooth, try out the sweet pastries in Druckers Café. Located in the Sovereign shopping centre, and with plenty of indoor seating, it’s only a minute away from the Grand Pier’s main entrance.

NOTE: Any food/drink not purchased on the Grand Pier’s premises must be consumed off site.

Weston High Street & Sovereign Shopping Centre

Aside from the special locations mentioned in this guide, Weston has all the high street shops you’d expect to see, including a GAME store on the high street, as well as the already mentioned food outlets. For some shopping under shelter, try out the Sovereign Shopping Centre, which offers a range of shopping options under one roof.

M.T Games

‘Check out the Consoles!’

If you love your games and collectibles, you'll more than likely want to check out M.T Games in Weston-Super-Mare. Search the shelves for old favourites, or find some memorabilia from your favourite series!

Easily accessible from the town centre, M.T Games is a gaming and toy shop that provides a generous floor space dedicated to retro gaming, consoles, collectibles and toys.
