Why Weston Super Mare?

In 2014 we had our very first convention. We wanted a location that was not only easy to access, but affordable. Weston-Super-Mare had the perfect mix of this, as well as plenty of places to eat, to shop and affordable places to stay, with the added bonus of it being cheaper to get to Weston-Super-Mare during the winter.

Why should I attend Weston Super Sonic?

​The bigger question is why not?! Loads of Sonic fans have been screaming out for more Sonic based meetups and conventions. By attending Weston Super Sonic, you'll be supporting the creation of these events. Weston Super Sonic is free to attend, with plenty of competitions taking place on the day, from costume and art competitions, to the games tournament and speed run!
Weston Super Sonic is a free event, but if you would like to donate towards the running costs of the day, there will be many ways to donate. This will encourage the event to be held again in the near future and give us the opportunity to keep the event in the best venue we can get. For 2015, we managed to afford ourselves the famous Grand Pier!

Weston Super Sonic is a convention for fans of Sonic the Hedgehog, based in Weston Super Mare. It's goal is to give Sonic fans a fun day out in the South West of the UK, with plenty of activities available, including meeting special guests, entering competitions, listening to workshops and purchasing Sonic merchandise. It is a safe environment for Sonic fans to meet up and enjoy themselves.
Our Vision
I'm a massive Sonic fan and have been for most of my life. I've attended Summer of Sonic for the past 3 years and loved every moment of it!​

So many people can't make it to such an awesome event, either because of travel or tickets disappearing fast. I want to bring a little bit of this amazing event to my neck of the woods, to give more fans a chance to show their love for our favourite hedgehog!​

2015 & 2016 Venue
2015's event has successfully rased enough money to afford the Grand Pier's Regency suite, a massive improvement from 2014's venue. Able to hold 250 people, as well as easy access to the arcade downstairs, only a 10 minute walk from the train station and easy to find on the map!
